Performance Imports Automotive

Alvin at Performance Imports is an outstanding mechanic who replaced the transmission in my Nissan Rogue earlier this year (March 2026). While he and his technicians probably work on more exotic vehicles Alvin demonstrated the characteristics you want in a mechanic: Technical expertise and absolute honesty. He thoroughly explained everything in simple terms and provided a fair estimate. His attention to detail was outstanding & once again clearly explained, without pressure, any other recommended repairs. Alvin is a top-notch professional who is truly passionate about the work he performs. I highly recommend Alvin and his technicians at Performance Imports!

Performance Imports Automotive is top notch and Alvin has to be one of the smoothest, confident and OCD mechanical technicians that I have ever met and in my line of work, I have seen many. With the fluidity that he moved with on my tasks you could easily tell that he's done this dozens of times, but you may doubt that because he's so meticulous with everything and factory specs just aren't good enough for him! :-) Anyway, he was as pumped with my upgrades as much as I was and that's what you want from someone who is touching one of your largest financial investments. He's the man!

Just upgraded my coilovers at Alvin shop and I’m very satisfied! Professional technicians, great advice, and fast service. The car runs smoother and handles better in corners. Will definitely come back if I need any adjustments!

Alvin is one of the best mechanics you could ever wish for. You can tell from his passion for cars and knowledge that you can trust him and if he doesn’t have an answer right away, he will find the out the root cause to best help you while being fair with pricing. He has helped us out countless times in the past 8 years. Most recently with installing aftermarket wheels and suspension on our Genesis G80 in time for our wedding, along with towing / fixing a disastrous brake failure caused by a previous shops mistakes that had come to light which included stripping 2 wheel studs and both front calipers bolt screws. I was super frustrated with the previous shop, not only because they had messed up my vehicle, but to not even be honest in telling us so we can get it fixed properly instead of risking sudden deaths on the road. As a detailing business owner that manages multiple car clubs, I don’t trust easily when it comes shops working on our vehicles since they are our prized possessions. Unfortunately we were wrong about the previous shop since they seemed honest and were much closer to us. We don’t ever mind driving far to have it done right here at Performance Imports Automotive.
